The campaign was also pretty bad, nothing compared to CoD 4 They added a lot of good ideas and features, but fail where it matters and they have a history of doing this.ĬoD 3 is another example. The map glitches being the worst, followed closely by the weapon balancing. It took everything from CoD 4 and improved on them, except for game play. WaW was a lot of fun to play, but was horrible at the same time. They do a lot of things right, that is why it sucks that they mess something up. I definitely got my $$$s worth out of it and made it to 42nd in the world in softcore War.ĮTA: I forgot about the extra slots for classes when you prestiged, that was very nice.

The gameplay was buggy with people going under the map and most of the guns were lacking but it was still an enjoyable game. I liked some of the improvements like not having to open each class to see what you had equipped, being able to skip maps by just pressing 'X', the lobby leaderboard was a good feature and you got a unique ID where you could see an impressive array of stats on their site. You do know they're dropping the COD moniker from their name to seperate themselves from treyarch right? * TDI Vector (definite, seen with no attachment, a Red Dot/Holo Sight and possibly seen with suppressor) * Riot Shield (definite, will be a Perk in multiplayer) * Remington 870 (or a very similar shotgun, definite) * MP5K (definite, seen with red dot, can be used while using shield) * M60 (seen in flashback to CoD4 during trailer, highly probable) * M21 (highly probable, seen with sniper scope) * M16 (or some other AR-15 variant with a solid stock, seen on cover art, highly probable, seen with a red dot sight) * M14 (Seen with a new Snow camouflage and a suppressor) * M4 (or some other AR-15 variant with a sliding stock, definite, seen with just a suppressor in one part, ACOG and Grenade Launcher together in another) * Knife (definite, will be used differently to CoD4) * IMBEL MD-3 (definite, seen with red dot sight) * H&K UMP (definite, seen with red dot sight) * Glock 22 (or some other Glock variant, definite) * FN F2000 (possibly a different gun, definite) * FAMAS (definite, seen with red dot sight) * Dragunov (definite, seen with sniper scope) * Desert Eagle (definite, seen with a laser and/or flashlight attachment) * AK-47 (or some other modernized AK-47 variant, definite, seen with either red dot sight or ACOG, equipped with heavily modified furniture) I've switched back to COD4 to prep for MW2.Īll the kids use the ACOG on their snipers and I don't understand it, it actually makes the weapon worse I had no idea video games had come this far, now I'm a junkie. I started playing after watching my son play COD4, he was running around with the Barret with an ACOG in multiplayer. Just the helicopter extraction scene in the trailer makes me go "ooooooooo!"
